Our Team Story
Join our team for The Longest Day, a day that’s all about love for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease. On this day, we will be bowling for our Grandma, Nonny, because it is what she loved to do and would still be doing it today if she could.
About 7 years ago, Nonny was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and we were unaware of the effects of this horrible disease. Nonny lost her battle to Alzheimer's in June of 2015, just days before our first longest day event. We know that Nonny is in a better place now with all of her other loved ones and wonderful memories.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.
We need your support to do our part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Last year, we raised over $1,800 and we would love to beat that this year! Every little bit helps!
Thank you for joining the movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with you.
