A Walk In June For Alzheimer's
Our Team Story
On Saturday, June 9, 2017 our local community will be having "A Walk In June For Alzheimer's" to honor those living with Alzheimer's disease, past & present, their families and caregivers.
I along with many other fine members in our community will help the fight against this horrible disease. My beloved mother June Hughes suffered from this terrible disease along with many of my friend's family members past and present.
Working in a nursing home now for nine years, I see on a daily basis just how horrific this disease is. We need all of you to help us fight this battle and try to stop this disease from robbing and destroying so many lives.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
Our "Walk In June For Alzheimer's" will be held on Saturday, June 9, with registration starting at 9:00 AM and the walk starting at 10:00 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home parking lot, Canal Street in Peru, Indiana.
PLEASE if you cannot walk with us in June, we beg you to make a contribution in any amount to the Alzheimer's Association on this web site.
