is participating to honor:
all those facing Alzheimer's
In June I'm participating for the fourth time in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease. Team Ride Safe will be riding The Brain Circuit to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Lend your support by making a donation. Follow us on Facebook for updates or to contact us. More details coming in the near future.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. When we are young, the privilege of operating a motor vehicle is one of the rites of passage that we look forward to. As we age it's one of the things we dearly want to hold onto. The impact on cognitive ability and memory means that one of the things seniors value most -independence- is taken.
In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. And these numbers are expected to rise dramatically unless we take action.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
