is participating to honor:
Her dad, Joe the Carpenter
In June, I'm participating in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease. From sunrise to sunset, my team will complete multiple activities to raise awareness and funds for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. On my team, we will do a variety of activities to keep our bodies and our minds strong, It will start with a bird walk at sunrise and end with a singalong at sunset. AND YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US!! (Contact me for full details)
Our team is called the "Carpenter's Kids" because I started it to honor (and now remember) my dad, "Joe, the Carpenter" Plus it originated with the wonderful amazing strong women of St. Peter's Church in Glenside, where, altho' we are a fun and diverse group of people, one of the things we have in common is that we hope to follow in the footsteps of a long ago carpenter from Nazareth, who taught us about loving and caring for each other, especially the weakest.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
