GR8T BBQ Cook-Off
My mother, Maggie Wright suffers from Alzheimer's disease. My siblings and I decided that we can't stand around and do nothing. Many families don't want people to know that their family members have the condition, we think the opposite. By keeping these matters private the disease will not get the attention, assistance or medical research needed to help prevent this disease in the future.
On July 14, MAG's GR8T 8 will host our 2nd Annual BBQ Cook-off. A portion of the proceeds will be donated in honor of those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. We have chosen this as our Longest Day event, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
We generously ask that you support the cause. Attend the event if you can, but if not we ask that you donate to the cause to help us meet our goal in raising $5,000.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
