Cibolo 5k Walk
On December 9th, 2017, Dobie Junior High School students participated in the Cibolo 5k Walk to Fight Alzheimer's. Participants walked and stopped to learn about educational activities to improve memory. During this educational walk, participants learned from Dobie students what it means to live a long life of brain healthy activities, including walking backwards. More than $500 was raised for awareness of Alzheimer's.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
