BHS Color Run
On November 17, I'm doing what I love to honor my Nana who has been recently diagnosed with early stages of the Alzheimer’s disease. I have witnessed her memory deteriorate overtime and limit her to the things she used to do everyday. She no longer can remember her classic cookie recipes and often forgets what she has to do. For my senior project I am participating in The Longest Day, a fundraising event to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. The Color Run is just a minor example of the various activities that the Alzheimer's Association hosts across the US.
Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please make a donation today to help the Alzheimer's Association support all those facing the disease. Thank you!
