I am

having a Lemonade Stand

My Story

On June 21, 2018, the LaMotte family will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. We're participating in The Longest Day (on the longest day of the year), a global initiative to honor, support and raise money to end Alzheimer's disease.

To do this, our family will be hosting a lemonade and snack stand in our front yard at 26 Pearl St. from 3:00 p.m. until dark.

The fight is personal. My dad, John C. Strayer, is currently fighting this disease with grace and positivity. The least I can do is support the efforts to find a cure for a disease that has no survivors.

Today, over 35 million people across the world are living with Alzheimer's, including more than 5 million Americans. In the U.S. alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We must take action now, or these numbers will continue to rise.

Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease that they are not alone. Please consider coming by our lemonade stand and making a donation in return for drinks and snacks or make a donation online if you can't come see us in Charleston, SC on June 21!
