In 2016, we organized our first Longest Day Team-Mom's Mission. We pull weeds, transplant flowers and work all day in my Mom's beloved perennial garden. Her flower garden was a great source of enjoyment and beauty for all of us, but when my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, she lost interest in gardening, and her garden became difficult to maintain as my dad was spending each day, as the LONGEST DAY caring for my mom.
My mom is now in a nursing home, and I truly believe that connecting to the same ground on June 21st in which she worked, we (my mom, dad, sister and the rest of our team) will be together, working side-by-side again.
Please join or donate to our team...for all us are in this fight TOGETHER! For everyday caring for someone with Alzheimer's is the LONGEST DAY!
