Color My World's first Longest Day Event was in 2016 (team pic above) and, for 2017, we've added additional team members. Several of us have moms, dads, uncles and aunts who have suffered with this disease. The rest are loving supporters of a cause that will benefit us all.
Consider making a cash donation to our team goal, an in-kind donation of an item (valued at $50 or more) to the silent auction, or join our team for The Longest Day, a day that’s all about love for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease. On June 21, we'll have a coloring "relay" throughout the day. Each member picks one or two hours during which they will carry the coloring baton. It's a meditative activity and the adult coloring books available are so much fun. It's what one team members mom does to calm and regulate herself or to replace reading now that she can't retain book content. On June 25th from 4-7, we're hosting a silent auction event in Denver at 1901 E. 20th Street (corner of High and 20th). Thank you to the Eating Disorders Foundation for donating the space for this event. Tickets will be available soon and proceeds go to the Alzheimers Association. Both days will be about doing what we love to raise funds and awareness for the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
