Welcome to My Personal Page
On Saturday, June 21st, I begin my bike ride across the state of Arkansas to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. My goal is to raise $50,000 by cycling across the state from the northwest corner to the southeast corner (I'll cycle in parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, across the Ozarks and the Delta, Mississippi and Lousiana). Saturday, the 21st, is significant because this is also The Longest Day, a national day of fundraising for the Alzheimer's Association. On this first day of my ride I will be riding for at least 16 hours in recognition of this national event.
Over 5 million people in the United States suffer from Alzheimer's and over 15 million caregivers dedicate their time to caring for thos suffering from Alzheimer's and dementia. These diseases are personal to me because my dad died from them and my wife, 3 kids and myself were his primary caregivers during most of the last 3 years of his life. Many memories of this time are still vivid in my mind.
I would greatly appreciate your support and encouragement while I train and complete this ride and ask you pass this information along to your friends and family. You may also follow me on Facebook and Twitter. Finally, if you are able a donation of any amount would be greatly appreciated, please follow instructions within this website to make a secure donation using credit card, Paypal or Amazon. You may also choose to make keep your donation private or have your hame listed on my fundraising page.
Thank you for your support, Bobby
