Welcome to My Personal Page
I'm honored to serve on the National Alzheimer's Association Board of Directors and am committed to bringing an end to the disease. On The Longest Day, my husband Gary, my Dad Jack and I will be working from 10 am to 10 pm to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and raise funds for research and care services in support of the Alzheimer's Association. We’ll be cooking a Lebanese mezze (feast) all day and having our entire family share the mezze in celebration of my Dad’s 94-years-young birthday which is the very next day.
Every dollar of your generous contributions will be matched up to $7,500.
Alzheimer’s is the most expensive disease in the nation, costing even more than heart disease and cancer, and killing 500,000 Americans every year. It is the only cause of death among the top 10 that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed. In her 60s, a woman is twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s as breast cancer. For every $100 our federal government spends on Alzheimer’s research, it spends an astonishing $26,500 for Alzheimer’s care, an economic model that cannot be sustained, a social impact that cannot be allowed to continue.
It is imperative that this terrible disease be defeated so we and our loved ones can finally live in a world without Alzheimer's. Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research and provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
We’re so very grateful for your support in the fight against Alzheimer's.
