Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participating in The Longest Day and the Five Boro Bike Tour in memory of my grandma 'Nana' Arlene Gillette who recently passed away after a decade and a half battle with this horrible disease, and my late Great Grandfather Aaron Alexander 'Papa Harry' who was the first person I knew to have Alzheimers. Seeing them deteriorate from the most loving people I had ever known into a state of not even knowing themselves tore me apart - This disease must, can, and will be stopped.
Today, an estimated 47 million people across the world are living with dementia. This number is set to skyrocket to 75 million by 2030. In the United States alone, more than 15 million caregivers generously dedicate themselves to those with Alzheimer's and dementia. These numbers will only continue to rise unless we take action.
Together, we can show those facing Alzheimer's disease they are not alone. Please stand with me, donate whatever you can to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research toward the first survivor of Alzheimer’s, and help to provide care and support to those facing the disease today.
