About the league

Blondes v Brunettes RivALZ Blondes vs. Brunettes® Tallahassee is a volunteer-driven event that raises awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Two teams of women — divided to reflect the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes — compete in a flag football game to help tackle Alzheimer’s disease. Leading up to Game Day, the teams participate in a series of events to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s, attracting the attention of the media and the community. This year will mark the fourth annual RivALZ Blondes vs. Brunettes® event in Tallahassee, Florida.

The funds raised through Blondes vs. Brunettes benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. We strive to:

  • Help families across the country by continuing to provide and enhance programs focusing on education and support.
  • Advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
  • Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through our public policy initiatives.
