Lifelong Frederick County residents, they reside in Middletown with their two youngest children (MHS students) and a spirited Beagle named Ted.
Jacqui is a staff director at Stauffer Funeral Home and has witnessed firsthand the devastating effects Alzheimer’s and related dementia diseases have on families. She received her Master’s degree in Thanatology from Hood College and currently serves on Hood’s Thanatology Board. Jacqui is an active supporter of the Great Frederick Fair, where she serves on the GFF Board of Directors.
Richard is a shop manager and foreman at BMW of Silver Spring. He is an active member of Columbia Masonic Lodge #58, where he is a Past Master. He currently serves as a Grand Inspector with the Maryland Grand Lodge.
Jacqui and Richard are both active volunteers with Frederick County 4-H, supporters of the Middletown FFA Chapter, Middletown PTSA, and Middletown Band Boosters. Together, they have five children, two sons-in-law, a daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and soon-to-arrive, a grandson.
They are dancing in memory of Jacqui’s grandmother, Mary Ellen Bell, and her uncle, Donald Bell. The end to Alzheimer’s Disease begins one dance move at a time.
