Fundraising Honor Roll

Time to Celebrate

Carolyn Kilonsky is competing to honor her mother-in-law, Kate, a Country Meadows resident who enjoys dancing to all types of music.  Kate, who suffers from dementia, attends weekly dance lessons at Country Meadows with Jody White and loves to entertain the residents and staff with her amazing dance moves.  Sadly, my beautiful mother in law, Kate, passed away on February 2, 2017. She contracted pneumonia at Christmas time and ultimately died of complications precipated by Alzheimer's Disease. Carolyn chose Eddie Augustine as her partner, knowing he loves a good party, has a competitive spirit, as well as some experience in Dee Buchanan recitals.  Carolyn and Eddie became acquainted through a church ministry and their families have been friends for over 10 years.

Eddie works and travels extensively as a result of his position at F5 Networks, an information technology company based in Seattle, WA, where he sells their products and services to the Federal Government.  He has been married for over 16 years to his lovely wife, Lisa.  Eddie and Lisa live in Middletown with their 3 children, Alec – 15; Aaron – 13; and Alyssa – 10.  They also have two labs – Chip & Carmel.    Alzheimer’s disease has affected grandparents in both Eddie and Lisa’s family, as well as a close family friend Elaine Oliverio, and it is for these reasons Eddie decided to join the fundraising effort to help defeat this disease.

Carolyn and her husband, Tim, live in Middletown where they have raised three children, Dana – 26; Erin – 24; and Brian – 21. Carolyn volunteers at Holy Family Catholic Community where she is the Director of Alpha, a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith and the meaning it has for our lives.  In addition, she volunteers at Country Meadows, enjoys yoga and walking with her friend, Michelle, who just happens to be Lisa Augustine’s sister.

Eddie and Carolyn have had no formal dance training but are excited for the challenge and the opportunity to support the Alzheimer’s Association.
