I am a native of the CSRA, graduating from Davidson Fine Arts High School in Augusta and the University of Georgia in Athens. I have over a decade of marketing experience in our community, drawing from employment with local county government, a nationwide business franchise, financial services on Fort Gordon and now a medical practice in Augusta.
When I am not marketing the Augusta Pain Center, I enjoy spending time with my three children, Brody (8), Luke (6) and Lila Brynn (4), painting, riding horses and long distance running.
I currently serve as the Vice Chair for the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership steering committee and I am a member of the Association of the United States Army. Very near and dear to my heart has been my work with the Alzheimer's Association. As a very young child and into adulthood, I watched my grandmother, grandfather and great aunt suffer from Alzheimer's. I remember hoping very early on that there would one day be a cure for this disease.
I participated in Alzheimer's fundraisers growing up and in college I helped the Epsilon Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority's philanthropic efforts to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. Most notably was a recent goal I surpassed by running 6 marathons in 6 months, raising over $10 for every mile during those races which went directly to Alzheimer's Association. Through Dancing Stars of Augusta, I look forward to further honoring their memory by continuing to raise money for research to find a cure for Alzheimer's.
