Dr. Woodrow W. McWilliams, III is a board-certified attending physician in Radiation Oncology at the John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus, Georgia.  He is a proud graduate of William H. Spencer High School, ’93.  He completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Paine College in Augusta, Georgia.  He then obtained his medical degree at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.  He finished his residency training in Radiation Oncology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. McWilliams has been working in the community since returning to Georgia in 2010.   He is a member of New Birth Outreach Church in Midland, GA where he serves on the Church Board of Directors.  He has been an active alumnus at Morehouse School of Medicine and currently serves on its Board of Trustees.  He has participated in multiple local events to raise awareness for cancer screenings and early detection. Furthermore, he recognizes the prevalence of Alzheimer's Disease and the impact that it has on the community. Thus, he is FUNdraising in honor of Lilian "Bunky" and Charles Clark, who have been prominent advocates for awareness and research.

 

Dr. McWilliams is married to the former Venus Dawson of Columbus, Georgia, who is also a graduate of Spencer High School.  They are the proud parents of Miss Charity McWilliams, age 13.  Dr. McWilliams is excited to return to Georgia and provide quality cancer care to his community.
