My name is Lorraine Hildebrandt

I moved to Atlanta 14 years ago from Los Angeles with a short stop in Chicago.  I am the proud single mother of a 17 year old son and a 15 year old daughter.   I am also the owner of an exclusive boutique hair salon in historic Duluth called, Rain the Salon. I have been extraordinarily blessed with these two gorgeous children and an amazing and supportive clientele that has been with me since the very first day I opened.

My career affords me the rare privilege of truly getting to know and help people.  Throughout my 29 years of salon experience and my own daughter being diagnosed with cancer at age three, I have had the honor to counsel people through difficult times while fighting illness or supporting a loved one through an illness.   Now that my daughter is cancer free and my children are older I finally have the time to give a little more than a shoulder to cry on.  When the opportunity to join Dancing stars of Atlanta for Alzheimer’s Presented itself,  I jumped at the chance.

Being a life long lover of the dance floor and my natural desire to help people it seemed perfect since I haven’t had the time for philanthropic endeavors since becoming a mother, surviving a house fire, moving twice, opening a business and fighting cancer.

This entire experience has been very rich and has taught me so much about the kindness of others. People truly are decent and want to help. Even if just to support a friend.

I look forward to the event for reasons far beyond the competition and hope to find more ways of giving back moving forward.

Dancing for a cure to honor the victims and their caregivers is a total and complete privilege.

Thank you for your kindnesses and generosity,

Lorraine
