I have been asked to dance for the Stars of Dalton this year in support of Alzheimer's Disease. A little about the evening: I understand it is a "dress up" event, fun and exciting! The people there are excited for one, about seeing so many friends in one place! Two, the dance competition, of which I am a part! The food is excellent, the excitement palpable, and the party will definitely be one of the best!
Besides that, the day of the dance is my birthday so come help me celebrate!!
Yes, April 29 I was born. Raised here in Dalton, went to Dalton High School, then to college and dental school at Emory University in Atlanta. I returned home to practice dentistry and I will continue to do that unless a budding dance career blooms big, with your help!
My mother had Alzheimer's disease and even though she was fairly easy to manage, the tragic loss of independence, memory, life skills, and more is a sad turn of events at what could be the prime of life. This dance is a fundraiser to help the local community give support to those people and their caregivers especially .
So, please support this cause because it could be you and your family affected by this. In my dental practice, my staff and I see many returning patients over the years and often see the early signs of this disease. And it is heartbreaking. Please support this cause.
And the support is done thru donations. On-line. Or at the event. And support for me is really what I want! Your dollars equal votes. And those votes in my name will help inspire me to dance so well that I may just dance in the office on your next visit!!
Happy Birthday, Me! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
