I am thrilled to have been asked to dance this year in this special event! I have always loved to dance and am looking forward to learning something new. I am a mother of four children, a grandmother of 3 beautiful sweet boys! I graduated from Georgia Southern University and have a Specialists degree in Early Childhood Education. My teaching days are now over, and I own a technology company with my husband callled Progressive Commications. We work throughout the US providing IT services. I Love to travel quite often, play tennis and am always up for an adventure.
I'm dancing to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in this event, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, care and support. I have a family member who recently died of early onset Alzheimer's. She was diagnosed in her 50's and died a few years later in a nursing home. I also have many family and friends who have family members that are currently suffering with Alzheimer's disease. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here.
