Learning more and more about Alzheimer's has made me feel an urgent need to help.  The only way that I can help is to support my friends who have family members diagnosed with Alzheimer's through raising the necessary funds designated to finding a cure for this horrible disease.

I was born and raised in Forsyth, GA, attended University of West Georgia and moved around the state - with stops in Rome, Toccoa, Elberton and Monticello.  I am the mother of two sons, Kip Burdette and Dan Burdette, both of whom are football coaches.  Dan is married to the former Chelsea Herr. My parents are Dan and Mary Lynda Pitts.

Teaching Physical Education and coaching Competitive Cheerleading comprised my career for 31 years.  In 2010, I became the Spirit Coordinator at Mercer University, coaching the cheerleading and dance teams and working as the Administrative Assistant for Mercer Football.  Currently, I am an Associate Director for the Georgia High School Association in charge of cheerleading and Title IX compliance while continuing to work as the Spirit Coordinator at Mercer.

I love to dance!  However, my talents are very limited.  I enjoy running, working out and attending any sporting events.  I also love spending time with family and friends and my crazy dog, Chopper.  One of my newest favorite things is serving on the board for the newly formed Forsyth-Monroe County Sports Hall of Fame.

I have been raising funds for many, many events over the years-I have asked friends and family for money over and over again for various groups and causes.  Please consider this my most important fundraiser yet!  I need your help to support this organization that will hopefully make a huge impact on the family impacted by  Alzheimer's.
