No one likes to forget a face or a name or even a phone number. Imagine not remembering your parent, spouse, or child. Joe Welch is learning to dance at 53 to honor his father O.C. Welch, Jr. and dear friend Coach Bob McBride, who, in the end, couldn’t remember those who meant the most to them. Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s takes every bit of patience and love that resides within a human being. It is a journey that exhausts the strongest of people. It is with those thoughts in mind that Joe Welch asks that you support him in this fundraising effort, not only to raise much needed funds to help families caring for relations affected by Alzheimers, but to honor the lives of those he has lost to this debilitating disease.
When Joe isn’t practicing dance steps with his instructor Jill, he is a finance director at J.C. Lewis Ford. Joe is married to Charlotte Brawner Welch and has two step-daughters, Stella and C.C. Joe is a graduate of Benedictine Military School and attended Armstrong State University. He is currently serving on the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Planning Commission and is a member of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, Savannah Quarterback Club and Knights of Columbus.
Please donate to Joe’s campaign to support and aid all those affected by Alzheimer’s Disease. We thank you in advance for your assistance
