After many years of battling dementia, Anna Fitzgerald passed away peacefully on September 11, 2011, at the age of 63. She was followed in death by her husband, Jim Fitzgerald, who passed away on September 26, 2011, overcome with the stress of caring for and losing his wife so young. He was 64 years old.
Jim, Anna, and their children's families suffered through a multi-year battle dealing with the effects of this painful disease which ultimately took their lives. It is our hope that one day we will see a cure to this epidemic which is afflicting millions of people every day.
