If I were granted a wish right now it would be just 5 minutes with my mother. My mother without alzheimers. The mother that I grew up knowing. There's so much I would love to talk about. So much that I would love to say to her. Even though mom is still alive, I miss her so. That warm smile, that "I love you" that daily phone call, that shoulder to cry on. I need her back so bad.

When I think of Mama Ada, I don't see her as a person stricken with Alzheimer's Disease. I see a vibrant, funny, high spirited lady who could drive from Grenada to Jackson faster than you could blink an eye (and get away with it!!) and who's spirit is still alive and well in my memories of her. She loved me and accepted me before she really ever knew me and she will always have a special place in my heart. I will always love her. Thank you, Cindy, for inviting us to share in giving back on Mama Ada's behalf. You are a very special daughter..Mama Ada did good!! :-)
Much love!!

There are no words to tell how much I love Ada. She looked after me when I felt like I was all alone. She was and still is my guardian angel. I love her as much today as I did thirty-seven years ago. She sent me the corsage that I wore on my wedding day to Gary.

Cindy, this is such a wonderful thing you are doing in honor of Mama Ada. You KNOW how much I love her and all the memories we have and nothing can ever erase memories!

You are blessed with the greatest Mother I have ever met. I was always amazed by her capacity to be gracious, kind and giving. Thank you so much for sharing her with all of us.

I miss the summer afternoons on 3rd Street when Mama Ada would get out in the front yard and play with us. Then we would go inside and have ice cream cones and play a competitive game of TROUBLE.

My prayer for you is to feel the comfort that is your mother's love, her touch and her memories of a life filled with the wonderful things that only a mother can do. We love mama Ada like she is our own and she is always in our prayers.
