Larry first reached out to the Alzheimer's Association after his beloved wife Charlotte was diagnosed in 1994. The Alzheimer's Assoc. provided support, guidance and comfort through their fourteen year journey. Not only did he champion his wife's care, but stayed involved in the men's groups as a co-facilitator and raised funds for research. His involvement continued after his wife's passing. Up until his recent passing, he and friend Marilyn Bush attended a "Break Away Group" every month. Larry stated in a donor interview "It is part of our nature to give to causes that are close to our hearts".
