The Family of Frank Roselli
Our father, Edward Peterson, was born in Yonkers, NY during the Great Depression. He left high school early to enlist in the Navy and serve in World War II. After the war, he returned to Yonkers and married his sweetheart, Mona McGahran. He raised 5 children and has 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Dad was a born Irish storyteller and used to entertain us with stories of growing up in Yonkers, running and coaching track, visiting his family in the country (Stony Point, NY) and serving in the navy with his famous shipmates, Tito Puente (musician) and Wellington Mara (owner of the NY Giants).
Sometime ago, his memory began to fail him, at first with small things like the name of a nearby town and eventually with bigger things. It was heartbreaking when we realized that Dad no longer told his old stories.
Please join us in honoring our father, Edward Peterson, with you donation to the Alzheimer's Association. With the grace of God, their research will prevent someone in the future from losing their precious stories.
Thank you and God bless.
