Joyce (Mom/Mimi) was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2003 after her family noticed a change in her memory. The disease was particularly grueling for her as she had a long battle. Family and friends gathered for her at the local Alzheimer's walks and even walked with the staff that cared for her at Lorien Riverside nursing facility. Many medical professionals have touched Joyce's life and were essential in keeping her safe and comfortable, for this the family is very grateful. |
