We consider ourselves extremely blessed to have so many loving friends and family, and are looking forward to gathering in April. As some of you may know, John's father, Don, is suffering from early stage Alzheimer's disease. Don is one of John's most important role models and has never stopped being a loving, supportive father, even during difficult times. In addition, Jessica's maternal grandmother, Edith Carlson, suffered from this disease. Unfortunately, we lost Grandma Edie in February of this year. In celebration of the Don's life and in memory of Grandma Edie, we are asking our guests to consider making a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of gifts to us. The mission of the Alzheimer's Association is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
