Thank you all for taking your time and visiting our site! Alzheimer's is a disease that is very close to the both of our hearts. The bride's grandmother fell victim to this monstrous disease and as a result, robbed her of her Golden Years of being a loving and nurture mother to her two children (my mom and aunt) and her long awaiting blessing of finally becoming a grandmother. An estimated 5.2 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease in 2014, including approximately 200,000 individuals younger than age 65 who have younger-onset Alzheimer's. The number of Americans with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia's will escalate rapidly in coming years as the baby boom generation ages. By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer's disease may nearly triple, from 5 million to as many as 16 million, barring the development of medical breakthroughs to prevent, slow or stop the disease. Both the bride and groom are extremely thankful for your donation towards this wonderful association that is working towards finding a cure for this horrible and life stealing disease.
