My mother, Aleja, nurtured her family, especially us, her children, with her cooking skills. She loved having family come to visit so she could show them love by feeding them traditional Puerto Rican cuisine.

We now try to care for and nurture her as she did us all those years.

The illness has taken away alot of her memories but not her love for us.
