My mother passed away November 2008 from Alzheimers. Her sister also has the disease. My Mother was fortunate to be able to pass away at home with her husband of 48 years as her care taker. He is a hero and there are many like him. I pray we see a cure in my lifetime.

Our family was lucky that she had about 4 good years after diagnosis where she could take care of herself. She had lost a lot of memory and had trouble with simple tasks. She went very fast when it was time and refused to eat or drink. The last 3 months were very, very sad. It is very depressing know what a spirt she was. I miss her every day. I am sad often but try to remember her the way she was before her illness. I have empathy for anyone going through this with a loved one and I pray I never have to go through it again.

my mother and your sister also has the desease. My aunt is dead, and after that my mother has the desease.
My mom is very very sick. And I?m very very sad.
