My mother, Mrs. Mable Barton-McHenry was a strong, independent, hard working, giving, christian woman. When she passed this life, Alzheimers had taken her body, mind, and spirit. It was so heartbreaking to see her beautiful mind and body just slowly die each day. I loved her so much and I fed and cleaned this once very modest person until she wouldn't eat anymore. It's been 4 years since I laid her to rest and the pain of watching her die hurts more now than before. Alzheimers is devastating to the patient and family. I honor you Mom today, yesterday, and always.
