2017 marks my 4th year as a coach for Team Blonde in the annual Blondes v Brunettes Flag Football Game. Many of you reading this will have contributed to this organization through your time as a player/coach, your generous donations or your support on gameday. I'm sincerely thankful for all of the support!!
Alzheimer’s disease is the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death and a truly the most disheartening disease for anyone with loved ones afflicted by it. An estimated 5.4 million Americans are living with the disease and nearly 15 million are acting as caregivers.
Last year the Houston Chapter of BvB raised the most money in the nation at over $350,000 that will help the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. It's going to take a heck of an effort from all the participants this year and those in the community to surpase that goal, but I'm confident that we can get it done!
I need your support to do my part! I've set a generous goal to raise $2,000 to donate for Alzheimer's Association advance research to discover methods of prevention, treatment and ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer’s. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. I'd be incredibly greatful if you could find it in you to contribute a little something to the cause.
A $25 donation will serve as your ticket to the big game (and afterparty w/ free beer!!) on Saturday, May 6th @ 12 pm at RICE STADIUM. We've been coaching up these ladies for the past 6 weeks preparing for game day that's certain to deliver the usual supply of exciting plays and high drama as it does year in and year out. I look forward to seeing you at the game (and afterparty!!)
Thank you again for your generosity – together, we can tackle Alzheimer’s disease.
