Why do I BVB? Because there are no survivor ribbons for Alzheimer's. It is one of the top 10 killers in the US, with no cure! My family has been personally affected by this disease, and my hope is that by us raising money and awareness, other people's families will be spared. When I started my journey with BVB in 2013, my dad was living on his own and very much self sufficient. In 2015 he was diagnosed with a minor cognitive impairment, and in 2016 we had to move him into a memory care unit for Alzheimer's patients. In 2018, he lost his battle with Alzheimer’s at 74. He'll never see me play again, but that doesn't mean I'm giving up the fight!
We are so excited for the 2019 season, and hope you can help us achieve our fundraising goal of $150,000 by game day! I look forward to seeing you at our fundraising events, as well as at Game Day on June 1. A minimum $25 Donation gets you a ticket to the game!
