As many of you know the Fall of 2014 was a tough one on Steve(fiance) and his family as we lost both his parents. However, what most people were unaware of is that Don, Steve's father, was also suffering from Dementia. Alzheimer's, is a form of Dementia that accounts for 60% to 70% of all cases. While the healing process has been continuous, we are once again facing another battle.........my Grandmother Betsy. Grandma Betsy loves puzzles and word games and to watch these daily enjoyments become more difficult lays heavy on our hearts. We will continue to PRAY and keep the positive thoughts coming as we ask for your Prayers also.
What this particular event (Blondes vs Brunettes) has done for Steve & I like so many others, is offer a tremendous support system and a way to give back. Not to mention, the funds we raise for the Alzheimer's Association stay here locally!
In the first four years we've been on a RECORD SETTING pace raising over $700,000!!!!
With 5.4 million Americans living with the disease, another 15million acting as caregivers and Alzheimer’s being the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT now more then ever!
Steve & I appreciate any support/donation you can make(even if it's a few dollars) in order to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research to discover methods of prevention, treatment and ultimately, a cure.
Thank you in advance for your generosity – together, we WILL tackle Alzheimer’s! Always, Steve & Kelli
