Hello Family and Friends,
Thank you for visiting my page and considering a donation to RivAlz — a volunteer driven event that inspires fundraising, awareness and action in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
RivALZ began in the fall of 2005 as Blondes vs. Brunettes®, a flag football event organized by a group of professional women, led by Sara Abbott, in Washington, D.C. In 2014, to accommodate nationwide growth, “Blondes vs. Brunettes” grew into “RivALZ,” empowering participants to choose the rivalry around which to organize their teams. The funds raised through RivALZ benefit the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. We strive to:
- Help families across the country by continuing to provide and enhance programs focusing on education and support.
- Advance critical research studies into methods of treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
- Speak up for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s through our public policy initiatives
Since 2013, RivALZTwin Cities has raised nearly $600,000! The Twin Cities inaugural game was the largest of any first year game in the league's history, and it continues to grow each year.
I am passionate to find a cure for Alzheimer's because my grandmother, Grammie is currently living with Alzheimer's and lost two of her sisters to Alzheimer's as well. Over the years, Grammie's health has deteriorated but she still inspires her family to fight for a cure.
Please make a donation to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research to discover methods of prevention, treatment and ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's. Thank you in advance for your generosity – together, we can tackle Alzheimer's disease.
