Welcome to my fundraising page for RivALZ. All money donated goes to benefit the Alzheimer's Association. Our organization, Blondes vs. Brunettes, fundraises throughout the year to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association to increase the chance of finding the first survivor. Alzheimer's is a debilitating disease that affects about 10% percent of people over age 65, and up to a third of the population by age 85. Women are disproportionately affected--nearly two-thirds of the Americans living with Alzheimer's are women. These numbers all increase when you include other forms of dementia. Women also account for over 60 percent of Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers.
It’s time for a cure; and it's time to find the first survivor.
Please help our journey to that first survivor by supporting my participation in Blondes vs. Brunettes, a flag football game and fundraising competition to help end Alzheimer’s. Your donation will advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
