WHY I BVB:
I'm so excited to be back on the field and back with the Executive Committee for 2017!
This year, in addition to playing for Bru, I'll be serving as the Team Brunette co-chair of Exec. The committee deck is stacked with some of my best friends and I'm excited to help maximize BvBDC's impact for the Association. Since BvBDC was founded, the DC chapter has raised over a million dollars -- 1/7th of the total dollars raised by RivALZ and I'm excited to help lead the charge towards another $100,000 this year.
As many of you know, my Uncle Les - a surrogate Dad for my dad - suffered from and eventually succumbed to Alzheimer's Disease. I play and fundraise for him, but also for the dozens of people I've met since I started working with the Association that have been affected by Alzheimer's -- patients and caregivers alike.
This year I'm hoping to personally raise $3,000 for the cause between now and November 2017, and to help the group reach $50,000 in sponsorships.
If you have any questions about how the Alzheimer's Association will use this money to support the cause -- or about how to play, sponsor, or donate in-kind -- don't hesitate to ask! All donations are 100% tax-deductible and eligible for corporate matching.
Thanks again, and go Bru!
