I would greatly appreciate you taking the time to read this brief message. Under no circumstance do I want anyone to feel obligated to participate, but I would like to minimally share something with all of you that is very important to me and my family.
My mission, and reason for joining the Alzheimer's Association as a volunteer in 2012 was strictly personal for me. Now, 5 years later the cause means even more because of the common bond I've made with members and volunteers within the organization, who share the same personal hardships the comes with having a family member with this disease. The impact has been devastating to some of them. I want each and every person I know, or come in contact with to know, how important this cause is, and we won't give up until we have a world without Alzheimer's. Seeing loved ones suffer through the effects of dementia or Alzheimer's would change your perspective on life.
