Last year, I said I would do it, I would jump into a frozen lake. As I said then, let's be honest, I have zero interest in jumping into a freezing lake. (I still have zero interest) Zero interest in standing outside in what could be sub-zero termperatures. (turns out it was 50 degrees!! Please, please please let that happen again) Zero interest in what it will feel like when I get out of that freezing cold lake. (cold!!) But I knew them and I still know now that people who get Alzheimer's had zero interest in getting this horrible disease, and I know that I can do something about it. So I have committed once again to being a hero and jumping into the freezing cold lake. I won't be happy about it, but I WILL be happy knowing that I have helped even a little in the fight to end Alzheimer's Please join me - I need some crazy companions to jump in with me - and to raise a lot of money for a great cause.
By participating in this event, I've committed to raising awareness and funds to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association®.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk and we must come together to change the course of this disease.
Please support my efforts by making a donation. If you gave to me last year, thank you...and please consider increasing your donation. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer's Association and its work to enhance care and support programs and advance research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
