My Personal Fundraising Page
On June 22nd, I will be riding 100 miles to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Association. This will be my fourth ride for this great cause that is so near and dear to my heart. All funds I raise will directly support the efforts of the world’s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research.
My mother lost her battle with the disease last May, and I've had many other connections to the disease through extended family, and friends living with or caring for those with the disease. What has inspired me in all of these stories is the grace of the individuals who live with the disease and the commitment and dedication of their loved ones and caregivers. It's never easy and most often exhausting, but the human spirit always shines through. I want to ensure they all have support they need and ultimately that we end ALZ.
Every ride is different-- but what always gets me through the 100 miles is knowing how many of you have supported my efforts and those of the Alzheimer's Association. It helps with the hills, the wind and whatever else the weather decides to throw at us.
If you can support me this year, I'd greatly appreciate your help. Thank you in advance for your generosity. It's easy to give online by following the link below. And, of course, if anyone would like to train for or ride with me on the 22nd, I would love the company!
