Let's Do This
I am riding in memory of my maternal grandmother Marion Lively, whom we lost a few short years ago after her long and courageous battle against Alzheimer’s. This is my first-year riding in such an event but feel it is an opportunity for me to aid in the research so that a survivor of Alzheimer’s can happen in my lifetime-- or at least advancements can be made to lessen the heart wrenching impact of this disease. Currently there is 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s... and that's a few million too many. Although great research and development has happened already; there is much more funding needed to help these efforts along. It is my hope that my friends and family will help me raise the funds needed to find a cure for the disease.
There is a long road ahead of us in this fight against Alzheimer’s Disease and that's why I am putting my tires on the right track and riding for a cure. I am honored to ride, knowing I have contributed something to the future. 90% of all donations will be going to the Alzheimer's Association who are on the forefront of research and development.
