Lisa Flanagan Alzheimer's fundraising page
Hello Family & Friends,
I am just about to embark on my 19th bike ride for raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease (AD). This year’s ride will take place on Saturday June 22 in Rye, NH. To date, between training and the actual ride, I have ridden in excess of 8,000 miles for this cause..
My Grandmother and a neighborhood friend’s Mom lived with AD which is a degenerative and fatal disease of the brain for which there is currently no cure. People with AD slowly lose their abilities to remember, to think, to communicate and to care for themselves. Ultimately, they become totally dependent on others for their daily care.
Over 5.8 million Americans currently suffer from AD. Words cannot describe what these individuals and their families endure. I continue to devote my time and energy to this cause in hopes that a cure is on the horizon for AD.
To date, my Family, Friends and complete strangers have contributed in excess of 55K to fund Alzheimer’s Research. Please continue to show our dedication to loved ones and support me in this endeavor.
Have a great summer!!!
