I am running the Denver Rock and Roll Half-Marathon with the Colorado Alz Stars on September 22, 2012, in memory of my mother, Ella Jeanne Clarke, who died of early-onset Alzheimer's Disease in 2011.  I watched as Alzheimer's slowly took my mother away from her family and friends long before it ultimately took her life.  Alzheimer's is a cruel life and a sure death, and although it's too late for me to save my mother from it, maybe I can help save yours.  I've never run a half-marathon before, but the challenge of running 13.1 miles is nothing compared to the challenge of living with Alzheimer's.  Please consider donating to this crucial cause.  Any and all donations will be gratefully received; no amount is too small.
