Make "I Have Alzheimer's" Website
(the first stop after diagnosis)

A diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia is life changing and spurs a lot of questions and emotions. It can leave the person with the disease feeling isolated and unsure of where to turn for information and support. The Alzheimer’s Association® created I Have Alzheimer’s — a new 23-page section of alz.org — to help empower those living in the early stages of the disease to move forward and live their best life after diagnosis.

I Have Alzheimer’s, created with input from individuals living with the disease, is easy to navigate and helps answers many questions including:

• How do others respond to their diagnosis?
• What should I expect as the disease progresses?
• How should I plan for my future?
• How do I live day to day?
• What resources are available through
  the Alzheimer’s Association?

This comprehensive website offers information and advice for people in the early stage of the disease. We encourage users to take their time and digest the content at a comfortable pace. They can return as often as needed — we’re always here to help.

• Identify specific brain healthy foods
• Understand how physical exercise can improve brain health

• Recognize the importance of social activities in stimulating mind and body
