What inspires you to Walk?
Whether you have experienced Alzheimer’s first-hand or you’re concerned about the growth of the disease, you have a story to share. Stories can be inspiring and thoughtful — and they make an impact. A great and easy way to spread awareness about Alzheimer’s disease is to speak up and share why you are walking.
Let’s get out of the shadows… raise your voice about Alzheimer’s disease!
Step 1: Update your Participant Center personal page with your reason for walking. Still need to sign up to walk? What are you waiting for? Click on the Walk location of your choice and start fundraising today!
Step 2: If you are interested in sharing your story with a wider audience, contact us and together we can find the perfect way for your voice to be heard!
Here are a few ways we would like to share your story:
- In writing – journal or newspaper articles, marketing materials, website/e-communications, etc.
- Personal appearance – an in-person on-air media opportunity to tell your story through local news.
- Speaking opportunities at Education & Donor Events
- Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Testimony - "I Walk Because..."
