Respite Care Subsidy Assistance for Alzheimer’s family caregivers
50% of the
proceeds from the downloads of Just 3 Words and I’m Still Here will
be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia Chapter.
The End of Alzheimer’s Begins with Me! My name is Tina Micula. I am a singer/songwriter and advocate for those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. I became involved with individuals with Alzheimer's and their families in 2001 when I began playing music in assisted living facilities. I learned quickly that the emotional and financial stress of caregiving often leaves caregivers without time to attend to their own physical, emotional and
spiritual needs.
Respite care services that provide caregivers an opportunity
to receive a much-needed break from their 24/7 labor of love is a critical need
that is often cost prohibitive for many families especially in the current
economic climate. As a Champion of Hope for those touched by Alzheimer’s disease, I would like to help support the availability of respite services for those in financial need
caring for their loved ones.
I have written and performed two songs – Just 3
Words and I’m Still Here – that honors the 15 million caregivers in
the United States who provide unpaid care for someone with Alzheimer’s or other
dementias.
For
every download of Just 3 Words and I’m Still Here, 50% of the
proceeds will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association Southeastern Virginia
Chapter to subsidize the cost of respite care for those who could not otherwise
afford it.
Please
visit http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/tinamicula to
download your copy of Just 3 Words and/or I’m Still Here and make
a difference in the life of an Alzheimer’s family. You can also purchase the
film "Remember for Me" on DVD for a donation of $10 or more http://rememberforme.yolasite.com/.
