Study marks advancement toward a simple test for Alzheimer's disease
In the largest study of blood-based biomarkers linked to Alzheimer's disease, British researchers say they have identified 10 blood proteins associated with a high likelihood that people in this study with early signs of memory loss would progress to Alzheimer’s disease dementia over the next year. Experts caution that, while these preliminary results are encouraging, a blood test for Alzheimer's is not "around the corner."
