PGA Tour host takes a swing at fighting Alzheimer's disease
Teryn Schaefer lost her beloved maternal grandfather, Frank Miller, to Alzheimer's in 2016 at the age of 81, 10 years after his diagnosis. An on-camera host for the PGA Tour, Schaefer is using her platform to raise awareness and do her part to help end the disease.

Research on Alzheimer's care and support is critically important
Due in part to Alzheimer's Association efforts, Congress has recently provided historic funding increases to the National Institutes of Health for Alzheimer's and dementia research. This funding has enabled studies that explore the creation of quality care standards and efficient methods of delivery. Rob Egge, the Association's chief public policy officer, writes that we can't stop until we know more about how to care for those living with the disease and support their families as effectively as possible.

If you've received an Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, it's normal to be unsure of what questions to ask your doctor. You may need time to absorb the information and understand what it means for you and your family. Use the opportunity to ask your doctor about your diagnosis and your options.
